Karsten Moholt AS has been awarded a new long-term contract for the implementation of online condition monitoring on the Klaveness fleet.

 

We at Karsten Moholt are both proud and happy that Klaveness has awarded us a new long-term contract and this shows the importance of delivering high quality and expertise over time.

Torvald Klaveness has since 1946 been a pioneer in deep-sea shipping. Today the main drivers of innovation for Klaveness are the transition to zero emission shipping and the application of digital technology. This requires the company to always be on the search for solutions that can bring their operations to the next level.

Klaveness Ship Management (KSM) have as part of this ambition decided to implement online condition monitoring by Karsten Moholt to get a continuously updated overview of the condition of important equipment onboard the fleet.

This investment is part of the process of transforming maintenance management in KSM from reactive and interval-based to condition-based and predictive. The Betavib system enables condition monitoring data to be readily available for analysis both onboard and onshore. In addition, the quarterly reports from Karsten Moholt deliver insight that is used to predict breakdowns and optimize both maintenance intervals and spare part inventory.

Karsten Moholt has for decades built up a unique expertise and experience in rotating electromechanical equipment and succeeded to be a leader of new solutions for efficient maintenance.

This has, among numerous initiatives, lead to the development of automated analysis methods, collaborating with leading technology providers in the industry.
