To be able to monitor and analyse the condition of your machinery a monitoring system must be installed which can efficiently identify early signs of equipment failure. However, in order to get the best results, the right type of monitoring must be installed on the right equipment.

Karsten Moholt identifies the equipment that needs monitoring, selects the right monitoring system, determines the optimal sensor placement, sets up databases for storing measurements, selects appropriate alert levels and documents the installation according to requirements and regulations. If necessary we can also train your employees in how to use the systems. However, we do recommend that we continously monitor and analyse your equipment to ensure the fastest possible response.

Monitoring and Maintenance recommendations

My CBM is Karsten Moholt’s own tool that gives you full overview of your machinery. In My CBM, all reports about the condition of your equipment are available at any time. My CBM is the key to a successful condition-monitoring programme.

When using My CBM, if your monitoring systems show early signs of equipment failure, we can send you error messages by e-mail. Based on an analysis of the error message, we can provide maintenance recommendations and preventive measures to avoid equipment failure and unneccesary downtime.

Early notice of defects give you time to schedule the necessary maintenance and order spare parts. Monitoring also lets you avoid unneccessary periodic maintenance and potential errors related to this. All in all, monitoring and maintenance recommendations for your equipment reduce unneccessary downtime.

Karsten Moholt’s diagnostic centre has certified vibration experts up to level 4 in accordance with ISO 18436-2 and extensive experience with most machine types. Karsten Moholt was the first company to be certified by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) to perform condition-based maintenance on mobile offshore units. Today we are also certified by ABS for our services.
